Eat Sleep Cake Show

So the first wedding fayre ever that Eat Sleep Cake attended was held at The Thistle Rougemont Hotel, Exeter, (www.wedding-shows-devon.co.uk) on Sunday 5th September. We didn’t quite know what to expect and were so overwhelmed with the warm and enthusiastic reception that our first outing as a firm received (or maybe it was the free samples of our delicious cake flavours that brought in the crowds!!).

We had on display a replica of the Gorgeous Greens wedding cake, an elegant but fun baby pink, white and black cake with a cocktail glass pillar, and lastly one of our Eat Cake designs.

We were asked loads of questions on the day, but especially about our Mini Cake designs and whether it is possible to have different flavours for different tiers of wedding cake. The answer to the second questions is ‘Yes’ – it absolutely possible to have different types of cake for each different layer, and you can even have fruit cake as your top tier, though I wouldn’t recommend just plonking a fruit tier on top of a sponge one if you are making your own!!

To help answer the mini cake design questions please see our Couture Cakes page and to keep all you design-hungry bunnies happy we will be displaying a selection of several mini cake designs at our next wedding fayre, which is on the 9th & 10th October at Westpoint Arena, Exeter (www.southwest.greatbritishwedding.co.uk).

It was so lovely to meet so many couples just starting to plan their wedding celebration. We wish them all the luck in the world and obviously hope that Eat Sleep Cake can be a part of making their day special & unique for them.
